What Is the GEAR Apprenticeship?
GEAR Montana's apprenticeship program is approved by the Montana Department of Labor as a Registered Apprenticeship program. Students complete 144 hours of related technical instruction (RTI) per year alongside their on-the-job training hours.
The curriculum is built on the Mike Holt Electrical Training Series — the industry standard for NEC-based apprenticeship education. All instruction is delivered by a Mike Holt Platinum Certified Instructor with 25 years of field experience.
Classes are offered in a hybrid format — in-person in Kalispell with live-stream access for students across Montana.
