This training level covers additional OSHA construction safety rules and Chapter 4 of the NEC, then focuses on common industrial applications, methods, and requirements. While motors and controls are the major focus area, hazardous locations, special applications, and Solar (PV) Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Systems are also introduced.
Upon the completion of Level 3, students will possess the knowledge necessary to safely and proficiently perform the job duties and responsibilities expected of a third-year apprentice. The student will continue building a foundation of knowledge about construction safety, electrical safety, and the National Electrical Code.
This course is broken into 4 – 12 week programs, with a 1-week break between terms.
All new apprentices receive a starter tool package from Platt Electric.
